Thanks to all of the sponsors of the 2010 PSA Convention Biometric access-control systems; mechanical locks; portable security; door closers, exit devices, architectural hardware, and steel doors and frames; and other technologies ...
This is a great achievement for various companies that participated in the 2010 PSA Convention. We all know that technology grows rapidly and everything evolves in a very quick time. I also make use of some biometric locks including access control, digital video, identity management, and alarm monitoring. As you know this is very important for security purposes as well. So we should be aware the kind of security we need to add in our office and homes.
Biometric locks are great inventions where a part of your body for example the fingerprints or the muscles of the eye is scanned and the doors will never be opened unless you possess one of theses identifications. It is used commercially especially in government offices where security is given much priority. it is also used in the vicinities of people who are of great importance to the country such as the president.
It is really important that we have biometric locks at home. In this way, we feel secure with our safety and so as for our personal things. If ever there are thieves, it will definitely be hard for them to enter the house because the lock needs identification or fingerprints and only the owner can have it. I am really thankful for the man behind these inventions. They sure have great roles in the society.
This is an excellent way of revamping security measures at all levels, however, thieves will always find a way to break the law eventually, unfortunately. I do hope these measures are not introduced en mass by governments as a way to limit people's freedoms, which is always a danger when countries take away the freedom and right of privacy of their people. One just has to look at England to know what I'm talking about.
I think it won't be too long before we start seeing biometric locks on everything, including smartphones. This is a little scary as identity theft will move from scanning your trash for PIN numbers to taking the part needed to pass the biometric security measures necessary to get at what the thieves are looking for.
