Agree with Philippe that one has a right to his or her privacy but is it possible to keep the information safe in the net well ask those nations which has increases number of hackers. One major thing is what would we have done without these web portals. I use Google a ot; I cannot just imagine to search in a particular site for the information I need. It will be a waste of time and energy. These portals make our life much easier by opening up the boundaries to the horizon.
Yes, everyone still has a right to privacy despite the fact that any information that you upload on the internet can be searched through these portals and shared by anyone across the globe. It's just getting harder and harder to secure your data as many hackers abound but it is not impossible. So inventing such thing, biometric locks can be of a great help for many people for additional security.
When not sure about your protection, go with what you think of is more secure... If this have to mean that you should get a personal safe just like that of biometrics locks, then do it. As they usually say better safe than sorry. If you have other alternatives like availing the professional services of banks then do it. Having tons of cash lying and critical documents around the house, should be protected at all cost.
